Hi, I’m Dr. Kaitlyn Peterson! I grew up in central North Dakota where my family raises commercial cattle and sheep. This is where I developed a passion for agriculture from a young age through ranching, showing livestock, and livestock judging. I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine in order to serve the livestock industry and steward God’s creation well. 

After obtaining a degree in Animal Science from North Dakota State University in 2021, I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2025 with a certificate in Food Animal Medicine. I joined the team at Crazy Mountain Vet shortly after graduation. I am especially excited to serve the community through practicing livestock medicine, but I’m looking forward to caring for your companion animals as well!

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy doing anything in the great outdoors or on the ranch, traveling near and far, playing/watching sports, finding new projects and hobbies, and spending time with friends, family, and my “golden boys” (Charlie the Golden Retriever & Simon the orange tabby cat).
